Given the success of the recent world baseball classic events in 06 and 09 I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have international fixtures during some point in the MLB off-season.
I don't know if there are many cricket fans on the baseball board, but I was thinking, with the amount of international players in MLB and the ever growing global appeal of the game, it would be a good idea to have international series' in a simiar way to cricket. This could be done during the spring to avoid cold weather in years when their is no world classic and teams could go on tours with matches affecting world rankings.
This could boost baseball's international appeal even more and give other countries a chance to see their star players at home.
