Manchester United are the most admirable, most wonderful, most outstanding football club in the world.

Let me elaborate and say that, as a Manchester United fan, I was deeply disappointed that we did not sign Essien all those years ago. And that is speaking not only as a Ghanaian (born in exile) but as a football supporter, for Essien is one of the very best midfielders in the world at this moment, and almost every lover of football I know agrees with this, regardless of nationality or affiliation.

It would make me very proud to see a Ghanaian footballer running out in red at Old Trafford, and I hope to see it soon.
