Hey guys, I have been looking at 3 models of MIDI controllers: M-Audio Torq Xponent, Vestax VCI-300, and American Audio VSM4, I know that the Xponent is obviously compatable with Torq but I am unsure about the other two, also if you can state some feedback of which controller has more features, cost less and overall performance it would be much appreciated.
I am not sure but Logic should have a learn function for assigning the midi controls to certain parameters.
Are you running Logic on a MAC or PC?
I did look into the Edirol controller breifly and I couldnt see were you could individually adjust what control number each slider or knob would send. It appears as though they can only be shifted with their own patches of which you have allready tried.
So I am guessing here, but if your on a PC put your curser over the parameter you wish to control like volume of a channel and right click. If Logic is the same as most it should come up with an several choices including automation choices. Then it should prompt if you want to teach or learn a control number for that parameter. If it is the case there you simply move the slider or knob you wish to control that parameter with and that should be it.
